1. Who we are

AI Photo Editor - ShiftViz (“ShiftViz”, “the App”) is published by CherdakGames. This policy applies to the Android application available on Google Play and related support communications.

2. Information we process

Depending on how you use the App and your region, we and/or our partners may process:

• Advertising ID (Google Advertising ID) — used to deliver, measure, and limit ads.
• IP address — used for security, fraud prevention, approximate location/region for ads and compliance (for example GDPR/CCPA consent flows).
• Device & app technical data — device model, OS version, app version, language, network type, crash/diagnostic signals, ad performance events.
• Usage events related to ads — ad requests, impressions, clicks, rewarded video completion.
• Approximate location derived from IP (not precise GPS for advertising).
• Support communications — if you email us, we receive your email address and message content.

We do not require an account to use core editing features. If sign-in or cloud credits are added later, this policy will be updated before those features process account data.

3. Advertising & Appodeal

The App may show ads (including rewarded video) through the Appodeal mediation platform and demand partners connected by Appodeal. Advertising helps keep parts of the product available and may be used to reward in-app benefits (for example demo credits).

Appodeal and its partners may collect and process personal data such as Advertising ID, IP address, device information, and ad interaction data in accordance with their own policies.

• Appodeal may present a consent / privacy choices dialog (CMP) where required by law (for example in the EEA/UK).

You can typically reset or limit your Advertising ID in Android settings (Google → Ads / Privacy). You may also use platform tools such as My Ad Center where available.

4. Photos, AI features & local processing

• Photo editing, filters, crop, live backgrounds — processed on your device.
• Background removal / on-device tools — processed locally where the feature is on-device.
• Image-to-text (OCR) — may use on-device ML Kit processing.
• AI image generation & photo animation — may send the selected image and/or prompt text to third-party AI providers solely to generate the requested result. Generated media may be cached temporarily on your device. Do not upload content you are not allowed to process.

We do not sell your photos. Images you choose for cloud AI features are transmitted to perform the requested generation and are subject to the providers’ processing terms.

5. Device permissions

• Camera / Photos (media) — to select or capture images for editing and AI features.
• Storage / media access — to save edited images or videos (for example to gallery).
• Internet / network state — for ads, AI generation, and updates where applicable.
• Advertising ID access — for personalized or non-personalized advertising under applicable rules.

6. Legal bases & retention

Where GDPR/UK GDPR applies, processing may rely on:

• Consent — for personalized ads / certain tracking, via the CMP where required.
• Legitimate interests — app security, fraud prevention, basic analytics needed to operate ads monetization in a privacy-respecting way.
• Contract / service delivery — providing editing and AI features you request.

Ad and device identifiers are retained by us and/or partners only as long as needed for the purposes above, legal obligations, and dispute resolution, then deleted or aggregated.

7. Sharing with third parties

We may share data with:

• Appodeal and mediated ad networks / measurement partners for advertising;
• AI / cloud providers strictly to fulfill generation requests you initiate;
• Infrastructure providers hosting this policy website;
• Authorities when required by law.

Categories of data that may be disclosed in connection with advertising include IP address, Advertising ID, and device/app technical data. Please review partner policies for details.

8. Children

The App is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. The App is not intended as a “designed for families” / COPPA-directed experience. If you believe a child provided data to us, contact us and we will take appropriate steps.

9. Your rights & choices

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to certain processing, and to withdraw consent where processing is consent-based. You may also lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

10. Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do. Continued use of the App after an update means you acknowledge the revised policy.
